Cement Walkway & Crosswalk Upgrade

The old Yancey Street crosswalk at Piedmont Natural Gas was no longer up to code. So, they reached out to Nance Construction to make sure their employees could safely cross between buildings.

The existing concrete sidewalk was demolished and recycled. Then a new, textured walkway was installed along with ADA-compliant anti-slip traction strips on the stairs. New steel handrails brought the steps up to current building standards. Finally, the crosswalk was repainted with DOT-approved thermoplastic paint.
